Abdominal, Urinary Tract and Testicular

If you have a family history of any abdominal, kidneys, bladder, prostate, testicular issues, you may also wish just to have regular check-ups to ensure normal appearances and general structural health of your organs.

Our Ultrasound Specialists will explain the procedure before your scan. You will be provided with a gown to respect your modesty, and you will be guided to lie on your back on the examination couch. A small amount of water-based gel will be applied to your abdomen or lower abdomen and scrotum. Our specialist will move the probe on your skin to produce diagnostic ultrasound images. You will not feel any discomfort during your ultrasound scan. The Abdominal, Urinary Tract, and Testicular ultrasound scan is regularly completed within 30 minutes. Our Sonographer will recommend the best course of action, depending on the ultrasound scan findings.

You will receive your results verbally during or after the scan. However, the Sonographer will examine the relevant images after your appointment and prepare a written report immediately after your scan or within 24 hours with any recommended actions. The report will be sent to you so that you can discuss the findings with your doctor, if required.

There are no risks or side effects associated with the Abdominal, Urinary Tract, and Testicular ultrasound scan. Ultrasound does not use any radiation. Your safety is one of our top priorities; therefore, we strictly adhere to BMUS guidelines for the safe use of Diagnostic Ultrasound Equipment and scanning times, as well as respect the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
