Breast Health Check
Breast Health Packages, meticulously designed to prioritize the early detection and comprehensive assessment of breast health. This package combines cutting-edge diagnostic imaging, private GP consultations, blood tests for breast cancer tumor markers, and optional genetic testing to provide a thorough evaluation tailored to your individual needs.
Package Includes:
1. Breast Ultrasound: Our state-of-the-art breast ultrasound imaging technology offers a non-invasive and detailed examination of breast tissue. This procedure enables the visualization of breast structures, aiding in the detection of abnormalities such as lumps, cysts, or other concerning features.
2. Private GP Appointment: You’ll have access to a dedicated private GP appointment, offering you the opportunity for confidential discussion, thorough examination, and personalized guidance regarding your breast health concerns. Your GP will review your medical history, perform a clinical breast examination, and discuss any symptoms or risk factors you may have.
3. Blood Test: A specialized blood test for breast cancer tumor markers will be conducted to assess specific proteins or substances associated with breast cancer. This test can provide additional information to aid in the early detection and monitoring of breast cancer.
4. Optional Genetic Testing: You can choose to enhance your Breast Health Package by including genetic testing. Please note that this is an optional service and requires an additional payment. This may consist of a Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) panel for comprehensive genetic analysis or specific testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, which are associated with an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Prior consultation with your GP is recommended before opting for genetic testing to discuss its implications, benefits, and potential outcomes.

🔍 Frequently Asked Questions – Breast Health Check-Up
1. Why should I have a breast cancer health check?
2. What does the Breast Cancer Health Check include?
A specialist breast consultation and detailed clinical examination
Mammography (digital X-ray) to detect micro-calcifications and structural changes
High-resolution ultrasound of the breasts and axillae (underarms) to identify lumps, cysts, or lymph node abnormalities
Advanced blood tests (28+ biomarkers) including organ function, metabolic health, and two key tumour markers: CA 15-3 and CEA
A follow-up GP consultation to review all results and advise on next steps
All imaging is done on the same day, with results provided within 24 hours.
3. How is the breast ultrasound and mammography performed?
Mammography: A quick, low-dose X-ray that visualises deeper tissue structures and tiny calcifications that may indicate early cancer.
4. Can ultrasound and mammography detect breast cancer?
Mammography is excellent for detecting subtle structural changes and early signs like micro-calcifications.
Ultrasound helps characterise lumps or cysts, especially in dense breast tissue, and can guide further tests if needed. If suspicious findings are discovered, we will recommend additional imaging (like MRI) or a biopsy for definitive diagnosis.
5. What symptoms should prompt a breast check?
A new lump in the breast or underarm
Changes in breast size, shape, or symmetry
Nipple discharge, inversion, or skin changes
Dimpling, redness, or thickening of breast skin
Persistent, localised pain or tenderness
Do I need a GP referral to book this package?
