What is the Men’s Cancer Alert Premium Package?

The Premium package is a targeted men’s screening pathway focused on organs and biomarkers relevant to prostate, testicular, kidney, urinary and abdominal health. It combines imaging and laboratory data with a GP consultation rather than relying on one test alone.

Premium package contents

What is included?

Targeted ultrasound imaging plus blood testing and clinical review.

01

Abdominal ultrasound

Assessment of visible abdominal organs for structural abnormalities that may require further investigation.

02

Kidney ultrasound

Assessment of kidney size and structure, including visible cysts, stones, masses or urinary obstruction.

03

Testicular ultrasound

High-resolution assessment of the testes, epididymides and scrotal tissues, with Doppler when clinically appropriate.

04

Prostate ultrasound

Assessment of prostate size and visible structural features. Ultrasound alone does not diagnose or exclude prostate cancer.

05

Urinary tract & bladder

Assessment of the bladder and urinary tract, including wall appearance, visible lesions and residual urine where appropriate.

06

GP consultation

A private GP review brings together your ultrasound findings, blood markers, symptoms, family history and recommended next steps.

Important: this is a targeted cancer-alert screening package, not a test that can rule out all cancers. Any suspicious, indeterminate or clinically concerning finding may require MRI, CT, endoscopy, biopsy or specialist referral.

Who may consider it

Common reasons to book

  • Age 40+ and wanting targeted male cancer-related screening
  • Family history of prostate, kidney or testicular cancer
  • Urinary frequency, weak stream, incomplete emptying or nocturia
  • Testicular lump, swelling, asymmetry or persistent discomfort
  • Lower abdominal or flank symptoms requiring planned assessment
  • Previous abnormal PSA or urinary/kidney test requiring follow-up
  • Preference for combined ultrasound, blood testing and GP review
Do not use routine screening for emergencies: sudden severe testicular pain, inability to pass urine, heavy visible bleeding, severe flank pain with fever, collapse or other acute symptoms require urgent medical assessment.

Blood testing

Seven biomarkers included

The Premium package combines prostate-related, inflammatory and kidney-function markers.

PSA

Prostate-specific antigen. PSA can be raised for several reasons and is not a stand-alone cancer diagnosis.

CRP

C-reactive protein, a non-specific marker that may rise with inflammation or infection.

Urea

Used with other markers to assess renal function and hydration status.

Creatinine

A key blood marker used to estimate kidney filtration.

Sodium

Electrolyte measurement relevant to fluid balance and renal assessment.

Potassium

Electrolyte measurement important for kidney and cardiovascular physiology.

eGFR

Estimated glomerular filtration rate, calculated to provide an estimate of kidney filtration function.

Before you arrive

How to prepare for the Premium package

03

Bring previous results

Bring previous PSA results, ultrasound, CT/MRI reports and urology letters if available.

04

Bring medication details

Provide an up-to-date medication list, including prostate, blood-pressure and anticoagulant treatment.

What is included in the Men’s Cancer Alert Premium Package?

The Premium package combines abdominal ultrasound, kidney ultrasound, testicular ultrasound, prostate and urinary tract ultrasound, seven blood biomarkers and a private GP consultation.

How much is the Men’s Cancer Alert Premium Package?

The current matching Premium package is listed at £750. Check the dedicated booking page for the latest price before confirming.

Which blood tests are included?

The current Premium package includes seven biomarkers: PSA, CRP, urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium and eGFR. These assess prostate-related risk, inflammation and kidney function.

Does this package diagnose prostate cancer?

No. PSA and ultrasound can identify findings that may require further assessment, but neither test alone can diagnose or exclude prostate cancer. Depending on age, PSA, examination and risk factors, MRI, specialist urology review or biopsy may be advised.

What does the testicular ultrasound assess?

Testicular ultrasound assesses the testes, epididymides and scrotal tissues for masses, cysts, inflammation, varicocele and other visible abnormalities, with Doppler used to assess blood flow when appropriate.

What does the prostate and bladder ultrasound assess?

It assesses prostate size and visible structure, bladder wall and contents, and may include pre- and post-void bladder volumes. It cannot reliably exclude prostate cancer.

What does the abdominal and kidney ultrasound assess?

The scan evaluates visible abdominal organs and kidneys for structural abnormalities such as cysts, masses, stones, dilatation and other findings that may need further investigation.

Do I need a GP referral?

No GP referral is generally required for direct private booking. Bring previous PSA results, imaging, medication lists and specialist letters if available.

How should I prepare?

Because the package includes abdominal and urinary imaging plus blood testing, you may be asked to fast and arrive with a full bladder. Follow the exact instructions in your booking confirmation.

Can this package rule out all cancers?

No. This is a targeted men’s cancer-alert assessment, not a whole-body cancer exclusion test. Ultrasound and blood markers have limitations, and further imaging, endoscopy, MRI, CT, biopsy or specialist assessment may be needed depending on symptoms and findings.
