Vascular Doppler

Vascular Doppler Ultrasound Scans

Vascular Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive, affordable, harmless, and painless ultrasound method (also called a Duplex Ultrasound Study). It is mainly used to examine the blood circulation in the neck, arms, and legs to generate real-time images of arteries and veins.
Vascular studies use high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to measure the amount of blood flow in your blood vessels. A small handheld probe (transducer) is pressed against your skin. The sound waves move through your skin and other body tissues to the blood vessels.

Vascular Ultrasound can help to identify a range of acute and chronic changes within the vessels like:
Aneurysm, narrowing or occlusion of the vessels such as Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm, Arterial Stenosis, Arterial Emboli, Deep Vein Thrombosis or DVT, Thrombophlebitis, Venous Insufficiency, Varicose Veins, and Venous Reflux.
